Not a lot of news…………but the turkey hunting has been pretty good.  Although the cool weather hung in there and they weren’t as easy as they usually are this time of the year.  Everyone was happy and one of the guys said his big one was 25 lbs.  Hopefully I will have pictures for my next report.

I wanted you to see my ad.  Melissa and staff at Family, Fish & Game in Iowa took my last fishing report and turned it into a gorgeous full-page ad that will be in their May/June issues.  I was so impressed that I wanted to send it out to you.

Water temperatures are still cool, but ice is off on a lot of the lakes as of today.  The Northerns have spawned but it will be another week or so before they will go on their bite.  The walleyes are getting ready to spawn soon.  There have been reports of some nice walleyes being caught primarily from shore.

Berkely gulp is a good bait to use.  I am tearing apart my bait tank this week and will have it up and running next week.

This week we will be opening up our cabins 1-8 and we are adding more electrical outlets, outside too so that it is easier to charge your batteries. 

Look forward to hearing from you….and think fishing….good eating fish or nice bass looking for a state record.  I think we will see one this year.
